The next Friends’ talk will be on March 24th. There is another talk soon after on March 30th.
Hoxton Hall has initiated a two-year programme of events celebrating the hidden women of Hoxton – uncovering their stories, reclaiming their heritage, and drawing inspiration from their enduring legacy.
The lead researcher is Suzanne Hall who will talk about the project and the accompanying book at Hackney Archives Department, at 6:30 pm on Tuesday March 24.

There will also be another event at Hoxton Hall, at 6:30 pm on Monday March 30. Deborah Jeffries will talk about the history of Hoxton Hall – especially the “music hall” days from 1863-1871 – and its uniqueness amongst similar buildings in the UK. Many of you will know Deborah through previous talks she has given at Hackney Archives and at the recent Hackney History Festivals.
